Show #28 – October 21, 2007

Welcome to the first of two spooky MuppetCasts! Thank you listener Ryan Dosier for the Bunsen & Beaker intro and outro! Thanks also to Jon Melville from Edinburgh, Scotland for your donation to The MuppetCast!

I found a video of the opening of Jim Henson: Puppeteer from the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta. you can watch it here. This the same opening ceremony that I was lucky enough to attend, and seeing it again just makes me want to go back there someday.

We have a new contest running from right now until October 31. Look at the right side of the main page at MuppetCast.com for details.

Have you seen the new Sesame Workshop project, Panwapa Island? If not, click here and see it.

You can vote in the TV show DVD awards by clicking here!

Thanks to Joe V. for this article from Wired.com, detailing some unlikely movie scientists. Meep!

Hannah from Indiana found a video with the ALA “Read” Muppet poster. Anybody have a spare poster of this?

Watch this video from Sesamstrasse and get your German on!

Thanks to sculptor Bill Mancuso for chatting with me on the podcast this week! Bill has sculpted some of the Palisades Muppet figures that many of you probably own!

October 20 marked the 10-year anniversary of Bear in the Big Blue House, and of course we have something from Bear to celebrate. That, along with two other very special pieces make up a great montage.

Good luck to Bunsen & Beaker. I hope that’s not the end of their misadventures on The MuppetCast.

Thanks as always to our sponsor, Bell Book & Comic. Remember, life should be more fun!

The email of the show is me@muppetcast.com, and the MuppetCast Hotline remains 614-364-4270. Leave a voicemail for me to play on the next episode!

That’s all for now. have a great week!

    Hey Steve!

It would be really cool to have the questionarres in the interviews, ala “Inside The Actors Studio” (what is your favorite word? what is your least favorite word? who is your favorite muppet? etc.) That’d be really fun to learn more about the guests.

Just wanted to say thanks for turning me on to Da Vinci’s Notebook. This song is absolutely amazing and was just the icing on the cake of another great episode of the MuppetCast!
