Show #14 – July 15, 2007

It’s 11:15, so I’m posting on time this week. No complaints! Hehe…welcome back to the MuppetCast for show #14.

So, is Live365 going to shut down due to the CRB royalty rate hike? Find out on this week’s show.

Thanks again to Jonathan Dichter for this week’s show. That guy is awesome! Have you read his blog? Special thanks as always to Bell, Book & Comic for continuing to sponsor the show!

Make sure to vote for your favorite Muppet impression at muppetcast.com both this week an next week. I play the top five submissions around the 58 minute mark, and they are also available on-demand at the Impression Contest Finalist page on the website.

The Jim Henson Company is going to be at Comic Con in San Diego! Yaaay!

The Jim Henson Museum in Leland, Mississippi is in the news this week. Also, we continue our look at Sesame Street around the world! Maybe next week we’ll cover a country with some fan pages written in English!

The last third or so of the show features a lot of singer/songwriter Paul Williams, in a couple different capacities. I can confidently say that you will be entertained!

Email me@muppetcast.com with comments, questions, show suggestions, etc. Call the MuppetCast voicemail at (614) 364-4270.

Have a great week!

Good show. I added the link to the Paul Williams Connection.

    Hi Steve!!!

Great news on TWO major fronts….That Jim’s hometown will have a permanent exhibit in his honor is lovely and, to state the obvious, well-deserved.

And to acknowledge the work of Paul Williams is great to hear, and a tad ironic…at least from my personal perspective. Having first met Mr. Williams as a villainous record producer (‘Swan’ Phantom of the Paradise’) it’s sometimes hard to look at the same guy who swindled a poor songwriter out of his life’s work and think, “He wrote ‘Rainbow Connection’” ha, ha.

    Thanks for the update.
