Show #10 – June 17, 2007

Show #10! We made it to double digits! Hehe…thanks for hitting up the website and/or downloading the show. Remember, the Muppet Impression contest will end on June 24! So if you want to enter the contest, now is the time. Now is the best time!

In the show news this week, congratulations to Sesame Street for winning more than 7 Daytime Emmy awards! Also, get ready for Abby Cadabby. Ready or not, here she comes! Also, new updates on the Muppets, Music & Magic tour stop in San Francisco and Jim Henson’s Fantastic World in Arizona.

Coconut Wireless from the DPN forums calls in from Hawaii this week, and points us toward a great version of the Rainbow Connection sung by the Brothers Cazimero. It’s a very beautiful rendition of the song. Thanks CW!

Ed Maz from the MuppetCast forums writes in to remind us that Puppet Up is, indeed, Uncensored. Joey Rice also sent us a link to some documentation from the Smithsonian talking about Jim Henson’s Fantastic World. Finally, Stephen Finney wrote in with a very touching story that leads us into the unplugged song for this episode.

We finish up our conversation with Tom Stewart, who I think you’ll agree is a fountain of great puppetry information! Check out the Puppets Up Festival, run by Noreen Young. Also click over to dotboom (NOT kid-safe). It was also great to learn about the Canton, MI High School Puppetry Club. Also, check out the Puppet Buzz!

In this week’s Across the Pond, Drew Smith tells us about some of the Fraggle Rock international programs. He even plays parts of a British Fraggle Rock episode!

And finally, a special treat! You’ll just have to listen to find out.

Thank you so much for downloading the show and continuing to listen! Thank you also for your feedback. You can email The MuppetCast at me@muppetcast.com, or even call the show at (614) 364-4270. I look forward to hearing from you!

Take care.
