Topics of discussion this week include Sesame Street’s recent primetime special “When Families Grieve“. We also check in with Nicholas Lemon and see what Lemon Productions has been up to recently!

The MuppetCast is sponsored by Swanson PC and Bell, Book & Comic. Life should be more Fun!

In the news, eFX Collectibles announced recently that it will be extending special discounts on their Disney replicas! This includes the soon-to-be-released Rizzo photo puppet! Take a look at Rizzo here.

Sesame and Disney have some Earth Day kinds of products on the market. Are you more apt to buy products like these?

Sesame Street anniversaries seem to be big in the news, so Sesame Workshop recently announced the upcoming release of a DVD version of their 20th anniversary special. I really enjoyed this special as a kid, and am definitely looking forward to watching it again!

Can you believe that Sesame Place (Sesame Street’s theme park in Pennsylvania) will turn 30 years old on May 1? ‘Tis true!

To no one’s surprise, the Jim Henson Company has a hit on their hands with “Stuffed and Unstrung”.

Thanks to a listener suggestion, Muppetology this week was all about Spain’s Sesame production, Barrio Sésamo.

Thanks to William from Yorktown, VA for the picture and the trip report from his recent excursion to Bush Gardens’ Sesame Street Forest of Fun!

Thanks to Bryan S. for this video link to the Sesame cast rehearsing “Sing” for a benefit concert somewhere in NY. I believe this was taped in February 2009.

Elenora Stilwell sent a link to a collectible pin for the Washington Capitals hockey team. Apparently, it’s a fully licensed pin of Miss Piggy with the Capitals logo! Anybody know anything about the Muppets appearing on sports teams’ logos?

Make sure to catch the traveling exhibit “Jim Henson’s Fantastic World” while it’s in Lexington, Mass.

Thanks for listening! Questions/Comments about the Muppets or The MuppetCast can be emailed to me@muppetcast.com, or called in to the voicemail line at 614-364-4270. Follow the show on Twitter and join the Facebook page too!
