Below the FrameToday Matt Vogel continued his ongoing behind-the-scenes look at Sesame Street with episode 3 of Below the Frame. With the assistance of Stephanie D’Abruzzo and Tough Pigs‘ Joe Hennes, Matt treated Facebook live viewers to a tour of the Sesame Workshop offices at Lincoln Center.

Highlights include:

  • A look at the interactive video wall at the offices
  • Theresa Fitzgerald, VP of Creative Services, tells us about her division
  • Louis Mitchell, Creative Director of Character Design, drew a famous Muppet for us
  • Head writer Ken Scarborough answers a question about “not writing”
  • Betsy Laredo shared some rare items from the archives including sheet music and artwork
  • Theresa Anderson, Associate Producer and Production Stage Manager, tells us how she got to Sesame Street
  • Matt and Stephanie answered questions submitted by fans

Episode 4 will air live on Facebook on Thursday, February 2 at 1:40 PM EST. This episode will focus on longtime Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch performer Caroll Spinney.
